Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy

If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury or concussion, chronic or acute illness or injury, or just inspired to work more deeply on your personal growth, I offer a range of methods backed by clinical research to fit your preferences and interests.

  • Serving individuals and couples from adult to elder.
  • Specialities include: recovery from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion, chronic pain, coping with illness, aging, and death, depression, anxiety.
  • Modalities used: mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, self-compassion training, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, mind/body and energy techniques, and other strategies to flexibly address the challenges coming up in your life at the moment.
  • Medicaid and Blue Cross Blue Shield accepted and self-pay.

I especially welcome individuals from non-dominant social locations. I identify as a social justice advocate, a person of color, and an ally to the LGBTQ community and to people with different abilities. My work is grounded in feminist theory and critical race theory and I bring consciousness around systems of oppression into my understanding of the challenges facing those seeking counseling with me.
